Jessica Stevens, a Watershed Representative from TVA visited the RBMS STEAM and Robotics classes to deliver a Water Quality Monitoring Lab. This lab is a hands-on program that focuses on the physical and chemical qualities that impact our environment and aquatic biodiversity. Students in class tested water from Oothcalooga Creek in Calhoun and were able to analyze data for cause and effects to determine impacts on biodiversity to answer the question “Will this water source support aquatic life?”

Last week, RBMS hosted current 5th graders who will transition to RBMS next year for 6th grade. Each student received an introduction from our admin team, toured the school, and learned all about 6th grade and middle school. It was great to see our future students in the building! Go Phoenix!
School iPads will not be taken home after April 4 in order to prepare for testing after Spring Break.

Gordon County Schools is on an early release schedule Wednesday, March 13th and Thursday, March 14th for Parent Conferences. We hope families were able to schedule time to meet with teachers to discuss your child's progress this year. If not, you are encouraged to stay in contact with your school and connect with teachers to find time to discuss academic achievement and future goals.
Friday, March 15th is an At-Home Learning Day. We hope that your child or children are able to explore learning opportunities that day and catch up on assignments, projects, and materials as we approach End-of-Course and End-of-Grade Milestones testing.
7th grade science students recently enjoyed a culminating activity to review the Circulatory and Respiratory systems. They connected the classroom to the real world by watching demonstrations of how the systems work and examining real organs. A huge thank you to Sheriff’s Meat Processing and Atchley Farms for donating the organs that were used.
End of the Year events calendar is attached!
