We are excited to announce the following 5 students have been issued their official invitation to the 2022 Georgia Music Educators All-State Chorus - Hailey Sloan (senior), Sadie Holmes (freshmen), Jude Clance (junior), Catherine Hughes (junior) and Aliyah Mills (sophomore). These students have worked diligently to master their music skills and complete their qualifications for this year's choirs. We are so proud of them and their dedication to excellence. We look forward to our time in the classic city of Athens and this year's series of concerts! We can't wait to hang out with our 6 Ashworth Middle School friends who have also qualified to for GMEA All-State!

Congratulation to senior Lindsey Lowrance, Gordon Central’s 2022 STAR Student! STAR is an acronym for Student Teacher Achievement Recognition, and the STAR Student is the Senior with the highest SAT Score on a single test date who is in the top 10% of their class. In addition to being recognized for their achievements, STAR Students are asked to select the teacher who they feel made the most significant contribution to their scholastic development to be named their STAR Teacher, and Lindsey selected Ms. Melanie Moore of Ashworth Middle School. Congratulations to both Lindsey and Coach Moore!
