Please join Belwood in congratulating these students as we recognize our March Character Students of the Month.
The word was COOPERATION - working together so you can do more than you can do alone!
We also would like to thank our local Calhoun Chick-fil-a for sponsoring the Character curriculum Core Essentials and breakfast for Belwood Elementary School each month.
Many of our Belwood students (and families and staff) demonstrate cooperation every day, but these amazing students stood out among their peers!

Students had their third dojo reward day recently during specials. Those who earned 100 dojo points could trade them in for an art science project.
Students painted a volcano that had baking soda mixed in with the paint. After they painted, they dropped vinegar onto the canvas to cause a reaction where the paint bubbled up to look like lava.
It was such a cool experiment!
Artwork went home with those who participated once it dried.

Mr. Kyezen Williams is a third grader at Belwood and he brought in a kindness ladybug recently. Belwood is thrilled that so many students are making an intentional effort to be kind, and not just on Kindness Day, but all year long!
Way to go Kyezen! Keep up the good work:)

Look at this sweet young lady, Miss Everlee Gentry, a kindergarten student in Mrs. Gonzalez's room. Everlee is as kind as she is cute. and she was Caught being Good last week!
Everlee heard a teacher say she was hungry at car pick up one afternoon, and she immediately dug in her book bag and offered up some candy and a lollipop (still in the wrappers, too LOL).
Now how many five year olds do you know who share their snacks? Probably not many!
Thank you Everlee for setting a wonderful example of what being kind and generous looks like!
