This past Friday, Belwood's fifth grade Leadership Team had a special treat when Mr. Ish Lewis came to present an interactive and practical lesson on public speaking.
Mr. Lewis started by telling the students that most people are actually scared of public speaking, but with Practice and Feedback, everyone has the opportunity to go from being afraid of it to being really good at it.
Mr. Lewis stated that, "Practice makes Progress" and also told the students that Feedback is always a gift!
After partner and small group speaking, students were given the opportunity to speak for one minute in front of their peers, with no prep time. The volunteers showed courage and initiative, and all students did a great job on giving and receiving feedback.
Thank you Mr. Lewis for giving up your valuable time to invest in our current and future leaders!

More from Belwood's 2nd Annual Eggstravanza!

So many good things happened at Belwood last week, and more is yet to come:)
Belwood believes that Easter egg hunting is not just for kids. We want to thank all of our community partners who supported our efforts to bring some fun to the grown ups who are all kids at heart!
A great time was had by all!

When your school has their own personal Mary Kay Easter Bunny, you get Bunny Bags delivered just in time for the faculty and staff Easter egg hunt!
Thank you Casey Evans, for being generous and AWESOME! 🐰💄🥚❤️

Hope Church in Resaca stopped by yesterday to deliver a nice basket of sweet treats to help us bounce back from Spring Break!
Thank you Hope Church for thinking of us and including Belwood Elementary School in your Outreach Ministry ❤️🍫
