Congratulations to the winners of the 2025–2026 Gordon County Schools Technology Competition!

Students in grades 3–12 from across the district showcased their creativity and innovation by submitting original technology projects. Students competed individually or in pairs/teams across grade bands (3–4, 5–6, 7–8, 9–10, 11–12) in categories such as 3D Modeling, Animation, Game Design, Programming, Robotics, Video Production, Web & Mobile Apps, and more.

This year’s competition doubled in participation, with 200+ students, 138 projects, and representation from every campus. From those entries, 38 winning projects by 60 students were selected to advance to the Northwest Georgia Technology Competition on January 30 at Georgia Highlands College!

Ashworth Middle School chorus teacher and director Vickie Latimer had her students performing their winter musical, The Little Mermaid Jr., for elementary students today at the GCHS Blue Box Theatre. Students showcased their drama talents through acting, singing, and dancing under the sea! The cast and crew’s hard work was on full display.

This show opens tomorrow, January 16th, and runs through Sunday.
