School Improvement

The school improvement process for Gordon County Schools utilizes a data-driven, research-based framework to set academic goals and objectives for improving student learning. School teams study several types of data annually to develop goals and implement strategies to improve the instructional and organizational effectiveness of their respective schools.

District Strategic Plan

The district maintains a District Strategic Plan based on comprehensive goals that drive the strategic planning and instructional decisions for the system. The Goals and Implementation Strategies are developed in collaboration with parents, community members, and business partners.

School Improvement Plans

Each school’s School Improvement Plan (SIP) and goals reflect the district goals and individual school needs. School goals address all content areas measured by CCRPI and are defined as a Charter System.

Gordon County Schools is committed to sustaining an atmosphere of constant and ongoing school improvement through research based practices and utilization of the new standards. Data driven school improvement is essential to student achievement and increased standardized test scores.
