It is time to start the pre-sale for the yearbook. The pre-sale time is from January 24, 2022 until March 21, 2022. These dates are firm and will not be extended. The price of the yearbook during the pre-sale will be $20.00. After March 21st, the price of the yearbook will be $25.00. We will accept cash or check. All checks should be made out to TES. If you are paying with cash, you will need to send exact change. We can not make change.

The Town of Resaca donated bottled water for students to use. We are thankful for their continued support!


Each Friday, students have the opportunity to build, explore, and collaborate with their peers while participating in many different stations during their media/library time.

TES RECOGNIZES GRADE-LEVEL YOUNG GEORGIA AUTHORS WINNERS: Tolbert Elementary School recently participated in the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition. This contest encourages students to develop enthusiasm for and expertise in their writing, to provide a context to celebrate their writing successes and to recognize student achievement in arts and academics.

TES IS EXCITED TO CELEBRATE THE 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL ON JANUARY 27TH, 2022: Students and staff are asked to dress up like your 100-year-old self or wear bright colors/neon (100 days brighter) to celebrate the 100th day of school.

We are excited to welcome our students back on Wednesday, January 5th!
We wanted to share a few quick facts before our first day back:
-We ask that students and staff members displaying symptoms of the Covid-19 illness please remain at home.
-Students missing school due to a medically related absence will be marked as excused. Students will be able to complete their work through Schoology or make up missed assignments
-Gordon County Schools will continue practicing mitigation measures including encouraging distancing when possible, practicing enhanced cleaning procedures of all rooms and buildings, limiting visitors, encouraging hand-washing, and making hand sanitizer available.
-A detailed outline of the Gordon County Schools phases of mitigation can be found at https://www.gcbe.org/covidprotocols.
-Gordon County Schools encourages you to follow the guidance from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and the DPH (Department of Public Health.) Countdown to Christmas!


TREJO WINS SCHOOL SPELLING BEE 2021
On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, Tolbert Elementary School held the annual school Scripps Spelling Bee. Congratulations to the winner, fourth-grader Kevin Resendiz-Trejo and runner-up, fifth-grader Kara Smith. Moving forward, both students received a list of words from (Words of the Champions) to help prepare for the county-wide Scripps Spelling Bee scheduled for later this school year. Kevin will be the school representative, and Kara will be the alternate representative for the school. Congratulations to both!


The Gordon County Schools (GCS) Nutrition Program was awarded a $35,000 grant from Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign.
