Tolbert Elementary is proud to announce that Mrs. Cathy Musacchio has been selected as our 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Musacchio is a fourth-grade teacher who goes above and beyond to support students, families, and colleagues. The following are excerpts from those who nominated her:
“Mrs. Musacchio always goes above and beyond to ensure that students get the best learning experience. She works hard every day to provide the best education for her 4th grade students. She continuously works to help her students and coworkers be successful. She is a great colleague to work with and be around everyday.”
“Mrs. Musacchio goes above and beyond for her students and colleagues each and every day. She has positive relationships with her students, colleagues, and parents. She is very purposeful and intentional when planning and delivering her lessons. She incorporates technology in her lessons. Her lessons cater to many different learning styles. Her students have a genuine respect for her.”
“Mrs. Musacchio is the most reflective teacher that I know. She goes above and beyond in instructional planning to ensure that all students in her classroom learn and grow. In a world where it is easy to become comfortable doing the same things, year after year, Mrs. Musacchio doesn't. She is constantly looking for new ideas by collaborating with other teachers and doing her own research-- with the ultimate goal of meeting all students where they are. She is the definition of dedication, perseverance, and determination. She is respected by her colleagues, her students, and their parents. I am thankful to work in a school where there are teachers like Cathy.”
