
Sonoraville Elementary School was recently awarded a Science Consumables and Equipment Grant from the Georgia Department of Education. We plan to use the funds to update and improve our outdoor classroom. We welcome participation in this project from parents, businesses, and other community partners. We are thankful to those who have already contributed to our project. If you would like to donate time or materials to help with this project, please contact Beth Allen- maryallen@gcbe.org or Jennifer Farist- jenniferfarist@gcbe.org. Gordon County Schools is excited to partner with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to offer a special parent workshop on "Keeping Kids Safe in a Digital World."You will not want to miss the important presentation designed to teach parents ho to stay one step ahead of their children with technology and protect them from online predators. The community event will be held on Tuesday, August 29th from 6 pm - 8 pm at Rock Bridge Community Church.

We are looking for volunteers who have basic construction and/or gardening skills who would be willing to help us with this project.
