Representatives from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and North GA Electric visited Sonoraville Elementary Tuesday, April 16, to award a $2,500 grant aimed at enhancing STEM education. The TVA STEM Classroom Grant, awarded in partnership with Bicentennial Volunteers Inc., will help support the innovative learning experiences in the classroom.
The grant, created to nurturing future leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), seeks to equip educators with resources vital for fostering hands-on exploration and critical thinking. Principal Kelly Rampy and her Phoenix faculty plan to use these funds to expand their robotics program.
Congratulations Sonoraville Elementary for receiving this grant, and good luck to lead gifted teacher Dr. Jennifer Farist and her Phoenix Robotics Team on their future successes at competitions.
