Students that have registered online and shared at least 15 contacts for our school-wide fundraiser are entered into a drawing every day. We will be giving away more prizes such as blue tooth speakers, gift cards, Stanley Tumblers, etc. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week for students that have registered and entered at least 15 contacts. On Thursday, we will draw one lucky student as our Grand Prize winner, where he/she will get to choose a 50-inch TV or Beats headphones! To be entered into this grand prize drawing, students must be registered online, must have at least 15 contacts entered, and must have sold at least 10 items so far.

We have other great prizes that students can earn after this week as well. The homeroom that raises the most money will win a pizza party! Students that sell at least 15 items will earn a bowling trip during the school day! And, last but not least, students that sell at least 20 items will get a chance to grab as much cash as possible in the money machine! Please continue to support and help your student participate in our school-wide fundraiser, and please contact your homeroom teacher or the front office if you have any questions.

Remember, all proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward student and staff incentives, including our AAA events, monthly student and staff of the month rewards, student growth rewards, etc. Thank you for supporting Red Bud Middle School!

Congratulations to Annabelle Johnson for winning the mini-fridge full of cash today! Annabelle's name was drawn from all students that have registered online and added at least 10 contacts in our school-wide fundraiser.

Beginning Monday, we will draw 3-4 names each day for prizes such as Amazon gift cards, Stanley tumbler, JBL speaker, large containers of snacks and candy, etc. All students have to do to be entered into these drawings is register online and add 10 contacts if they haven't already done so.

We will also draw one grand prize winner for a 50-inch TV or a set of Beats headphones from students that have registered online, entered at least 10 contacts, and sold at least 10 items in the school-wide fundraiser.

Also, the homeroom that sells the most will win a pizza party. All students that sell at least 15 items will receive a bowling trip, and all students that sell at least 20 items will have an opportunity to grab some free cash in the money machine!

Remember, all proceeds from this fundraiser will help fund various student and staff rewards and incentives throughout the school year, such as AAA events, monthly attendance/behavior/grade rewards, student growth rewards, etc.

Parents seeking assistance for their children for Christmas must complete a Financial Education Class at the Voluntary Action Center. These classes are offered in partnership with Truist. Applications for Christmas Assistance will only be distributed to class attendees.

To determine if you're eligible for Christmas Assistance, review the guidelines below:
You must provide a picture ID or birth certificate.
Proof you live in Gordon County, and your school-aged children attend a school located in Gordon County or are homeschooled.
You have not applied for any other Christmas assistance programs. If you apply for assistance with any other agency or program, your application with the Voluntary Action Center will be denied.
​You must provide a birth certificate, shot record, driver's license, or passport for all children.
You must provide proof of income. Applications without acceptable proof of income will not be approved.
For 2025, the VAC will have spots for 600 children on the Annual Christmas Assistance Program.

Tomorrow is College Day at RBMS!! Teachers will share their personal experience in choosing the college or university they attended as related to their career choice with students. Students will also learn about dual enrollment options for college courses in high school and how the HOPE Scholarship can help pay for college, technical, or trade school in the state of Georgia.

Attention: 8th Grade Parents! There will be an informational meeting, Thursday, August 28th in the RBMS cafeteria at 6:30pm for students who are interested in going on the 8th grade Georgia Tour in April. This meeting will cover costs, expectations, and scholarship opportunities for the trip as well as preview the places visited on the trip. 8th grade students received information about the GA Tour in class today. If you have any questions, please email your student's Social Studies teacher.

Kinza Ali competed in the Poppy Poster Competition by the American Legion Auxiliary. He was recognized for a remarkable Poppy Poster entry. Kinza’s poster will advance to the National Competition and will also be shared with Veteran’s Affair and Rehabilitation. Congratulations Kinza!!!

The RBMS Academic Team defeated Calhoun 190-105 yesterday at their 2nd match of the season. First Captain Parker Holland led with 5 tossups followed by Elijah Dacus with 4. Shaun Green also contributed with 1 tossup. All team members worked together on bonuses for the win. Way to go, RBMS Academic Team, and Go, Phoenix!!!! (And thank you to Mrs. Matherly, our yearbook advisor, for capturing awesome pics!)
