Congratulations to Rose Par (Red Bud Middle School) for winning today's Gordon County Schools District Spelling Bee! Clark Sisson (Red Bud Elementary) was our runner-up finalist. Rose will represent Gordon County at the upcoming region competition, and Clark is our first alternate.
We would like to congratulate all our amazing students for competing today after winning their respective school spelling bees. It is a huge accomplishment to win at the individual school level, and our district leaders are very proud of how well everyone did. Over 50 words were spelled as we began with 8 elementary and middle school students before narrowing it down to two finalists, Rose and Clark.
Thank you Mrs. Beth Herod, Director of Early Learning and Elementary Education, and other support staff for hosting this event. We appreciated seeing school leaders and families there cheering on these bright students!
