CALHOUN, GA  - Red Bud Elementary School proudly hosted its 2023 Spelling Bee this morning, showcasing the exceptional spelling talents of its students. The participating spellers included Milannys Barriento-Rivera, Avaida Knowles, Jaykov Medina-Hernandez, Jesus Montijo, Jr., Britlyn Neal, Jayda Phillips, and Clark Sisson.

The intense competition unfolded over 11 rounds, where the students demonstrated their mastery of words with remarkable poise and intellect. Ultimately, emerging as the triumphant speller was Clark Sisson, with Avaida Knowles securing the well-deserved title of runner-up.

Clark Sisson, having secured victory, will proudly represent Red Bud Elementary School in the upcoming Gordon County Schools District Spelling Bee scheduled for January.

The entire Red Bud Elementary community extends heartfelt congratulations to all participating Cardinal Spellers for their dedication, hard work, and commendable spelling prowess.
