The AMS tribe really showed their spirit today at Gordon Central's pep rally! Our students did an awesome job competing in a sack race against GC's senior football players and came in a very close second place. Our faculty dominated the tug-of-war against GC's faculty, bringing home the WIN! AMS students cheered, shouted and did the wave, showing their true Warrior spirit! We wish the GC football Warriors the best of luck in their home game against Armuchee tonight!

Ashworth Middle School 7th grade ELA teacher Melanie Topping took her students to the media center to read and check out books today. Media specialist Leigh-Ann Hunt loves working with students to help them find the perfect book! #TogetherGCS #GordonCountySchools

It's National School Bus Safety and Georgia School Bus Driver Appreciation Week! We appreciate our school bus drivers and the important role they play to ensure that our students arrive safely at school each and every day! Thank you for all you do!

On Monday night, AMS seventh grader, Amy McCollum, was honored by the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce for her impressive Red Ribbon Week poster. This week focuses on raising awareness about the dangers of drug use, and Amy's design was selected from numerous creative submissions. We are proud of her hard work and wanted to shine a light on her recognition at the Harris Arts Center. #TogetherAMS
