In the month of September, the Gordon County Schools Sheriff's Office has been dedicated to implementing the C.H.A.M.P.S. program in all our elementary schools. On Saturday, the Red Bud Middle Lady Phoenix softball team completed their season finishing Region Runner-Up to a solid Rockmart Middle School team in the BGMSAA Region tournament. With an overall record of 15-5, these girls competed hard in the tournament, beating Calhoun Middle School 13-1 in 4 innings and Cartersville 14-4 in 5 innings. Since winning the Championship in 2018, this was the fifth season in a row that RBMS has made it to the Region Championship game! Congratulations ladies!! Exciting News: Introducing RBMS' Brand-New Outdoor Classroom! We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to Red Bud Middle - a fantastic outdoor classroom, courtesy of a remarkable young individual, Kaleb King. Kaleb, an alumnus of RBMS and currently a 9th grader at Sonoraville High, took on the task of bringing this outdoor educational space to life as his Eagle Scout Project. Kaleb's dedication and hard work knew no bounds. From conceptualizing the design to securing the necessary funds, and then assembling and installing the classroom, he led every step of the way. His commitment to this project has been nothing short of exceptional. It is designed to support state and local school reform efforts tied to challenging state academic standards in order to reinforce and amplify efforts to improve teaching and learning for students furthest from meeting state standards. What is the Annual Title I Meeting?  The purpose of this meeting is to provide our parents, families, and stakeholders with information about our Title I Program and your right to be involved in your child's education. Ashton's accomplishment is a testament to his exceptional leadership and dedication to making a positive impact in his community. Ashton's selection as a member of the GSBA Youth Advisory Council is a remarkable milestone, not only for him but also for Gordon County Schools. He has become the first student from our district to earn this prestigious position. The GSBA Youth Advisory Council plays a vital role in advocating for student perspectives in shaping educational policies and initiatives across the state of Georgia.
