Congratulations to Gordon County's JV and Varsity Georgia LifeSmart teams for winning state championships. The Georgia LifeSmarts State Championship was held recently at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center, where teams participate in quizzes and skills related to consumer rights and responsibilities, the environment, health and safety, personal finance, and technology.
LifeSmarts, the nation’s premier consumer program, has never been more relevant. Entering its 30th year, LifeSmarts provides real-world education for students who learn about core consumer topics and develop critical thinking skills. The goal of LifeSmarts is to create consumer-savvy young people prepared for adult life in today's complex global marketplace.
Gordon County's teams both won and will represent Georgia in the National Championship event. Gordon's varsity team will compete in San Diego, California, this April, and the junior varsity team will compete in the first ever JV National Championship.
