GORDON COUNTY, GEORGIA — Gordon County Schools proudly announces the successful completion and graduation of the inaugural cohort from the Aspiring Leaders Program, a year-long initiative dedicated to fostering leadership excellence within the district. The program aims to develop the leadership capacity of its participants, equipping them with the skills and abilities essential for advancing the school district's vision.

The Aspiring Leaders Program is designed for district employees aspiring to formal leadership roles, who also commit to enrolling in relevant leadership certification programs, if not already certified. Over the course of the program, candidates engage in ten instructional modules that address specific issues related to school and system leadership.

The day’s events marked a significant milestone for the program as cohort members presented their capstone projects to esteemed members of the system leadership.  The capstone project is a culmination of the participants' learning journey, providing them with an opportunity to apply acquired knowledge and demonstrate the integration of leadership principles into their professional and personal practices. These projects serve as a platform for individual and collective growth, fostering reflection and reinforcing the competencies emphasized throughout the program.

Members of the first cohort include:
