GORDON COUNTY, GA - Gordon County Schools is proud to invite our school communities to join us in honoring our veterans during the upcoming Veterans Day celebrations. Across our district, each school has prepared special events to pay tribute to the men and women who have served our country. Here's a list of the events at each of our Gordon County Schools:
- Ashworth Middle:
- Date: November 10th
- Event: Veterans Day Breakfast
- Time: 7:45 AM
- Details: In honor of Veterans Day, AMS like to invite veterans to join us for breakfast on Friday, November 10th, 2023, at 7:45 AM. Attendees are kindly asked to register.
- Belwood Elementary:
- Date: November 10
- Event: Veterans Day Breakfast and Program
- Time: Breakfast at 8:00 AM, Program at 9:00 AM
- Details: Breakfast will be served at 8:00 AM for BES Veterans and their students followed by a Veterans Day Program in the cafeteria at 9:00 AM. Attendees are kindly asked to RSVP.
- Fairmount Elementary:
- Date: November 9th
- Event: Drive-Thru Parade
- Time: Parade begins at 9:00 AM
- Details: Fairmount will be hosting a drive-thru parade to honor our veterans, commencing at 9:00 AM.
- Gordon Central High School:
- Date: November 10th
- Event: Veterans Day Breakfast
- Time: 8:00 AM
- Details: Gordon Central High School will host a Veterans Day Breakfast at 8:00AM. Veterans planning to attend are kindly requested to RSVP.
- Red Bud Elementary & Red Bud Middle:
- Date: November 10th
- Event: Veterans Day Parade
- Time: Parade begins at 9:00 AM
- Details: RBES & RBMS will jointly host a Veterans Day Parade, which will start at 9:00 AM.
- Sonoraville Elementary & Sonoraville High School:
- Date: November 9th
- Event: Drive-Thru Parade
- Time: Parade begins at 10:00 AM
- Details: Join SES & SHS for a drive-through parade beginning at 10:00 AM.
- Tolbert Elementary:
- Date: November 10th
- Event: Veterans Luncheon
- Time: During your TES student's lunch
- Swain Elementary
- Date: November 10th
- Event: Veterans Breakfast and Warrior Walk
- Time: Breakfast at 7:45 AM, Warrior Walk at 8:45 AM
- Details: Swain Elementary will host a breakfast, serving at 7:45 AM, followed by a Warrior Walk at 8:45 AM. Swain kindly requests that attendees RSVP
