CALHOUN, GA – Gordon County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of two experienced and dedicated educational leaders to serve as Principals at Ashworth Middle School and Red Bud Middle School. Their extensive backgrounds in education, combined with their passion for fostering a supportive and thriving learning environment, make them valuable additions to our school system.
Introducing Danny Lowrance – Ashworth Middle School
At Ashworth Middle School, Danny Lowrance will be taking the helm with his extensive expertise and strong leadership skills. He holds a Tier I Certificate in Educational Leadership, a Master’s degree of Science in Middle Grades Education, a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, and holds a Primary Leadership Development certificate from the U.S. Army. He is widely respected for his innovative approach to teaching and learning, as well as his commitment to promoting transparency and open communication within the school community. He has spent twenty-one years serving in education, championing student success in various educational settings and positions, all within Gordon County Schools.
As the new Principal of Ashworth Middle School, Lowrance is committed to nurturing an environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and personal growth for all. He will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students to develop dynamic educational programs that address the unique needs and aspirations of each student.
Introducing Chad Moore – Red Bud Middle School
Chad Moore joins Red Bud Middle School with an impressive track record of leadership in education. He holds a Specialist Degree and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in History and Political Science. He has 19 years of experience working in various educational capacities, thirteen of which were spent serving the Gordon County Schools community. He has served in several educational leadership positions, most recently completing his tenth year of service as a principal. He is known for his unwavering commitment to academic excellence, building meaningful relationships among his school community and implementing an overall vision that promotes effective instructional programs and a positive school environment.
As the new Principal of Red Bud Middle School, Moore aims to empower students to reach their full potential. He believes in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment among faculty, staff, students, and parents to ensure a successful and rewarding learning experience for everyone.

Both Principal Lowrance and Principal Moore share a common vision of fostering an atmosphere of respect, compassion, and academic excellence within their respective schools. Their focus will be on providing a supportive environment that nurtures each educator and student to prepare them for a successful future.
