English to Speakers of Other Languages
The ESOL Language Instruction Program is the state-funded language instruction educational program for eligible English learners (ELs) in Georgia public schools, Grades K-12. The ESOL Language Program was first established in 2002 by the Georgia General Assembly (State Board of Education Rule 160-4-5- .02). The purpose of the ESOL language program is to provide English language development instruction and language support services to identified K-12 English learners (ELs) in Georgia’s public-school systems for the purpose of increasing their English language proficiency and academic achievement.

Section 504 is designed to prohibit discrimination and to assure that disabled students have educational opportunities and benefits equal to those provided to non-disabled students.
Speech and Language Support
Speech and Language Support is offered to students who have an identified speech or language impairment. Speech or language impairment refers to a communication disorder, such as stuttering, impaired articulation, language or voice impairment that adversely affects a child’s educational performance.
Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
A Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is a proactive and preventative framework that integrates data and instruction to maximize student achievement and support students' social, emotional, and behavior needs from a strengths-based perspective in Georgia schools. MTSS offers a framework for educators to engage in data-based decision making related to program improvement, high-quality instruction and intervention, social and emotional learning, and positive behavioral supports necessary to ensure positive outcomes for districts, schools, teachers, and students.
