Homecoming 2024 Events
Gordon Central High School is thrilled to announce our 2024 Homecoming Week, happening
Monday, September 9th through Saturday, September 14th!
Here’s what’s in store:
**Dress Up/Spirit Week**: Show your Warrior pride all week long with themed dress-up days!
**Homecoming Parade & Bonfire**: Join us on Thursday, September 12th, for the parade at 6 pm (Downtown Calhoun), followed by a bonfire to light up the night.
**Homecoming Game**: Friday, September 13th at 7:30 PM. Don’t miss the excitement as we take on our rivals and crown the Homecoming King and Queen!
**Homecoming Dance**: Saturday, September 14th from 7-10 PM at GCHS. Get ready to dance the night away! (Ticket and guest information will be provided this week.)
Float Building
Class floats will be built on campus starting after school on Friday, September 6 and run through Wednesday, September 11, including times on Saturday and Sunday. Students who are interested in participating in their grade level's float building should sign up in the cafeteria at lunch or contact their student government representatives.
Dress Up Days
Show your school spirit with our homecoming dress up days! Each day brings a different theme! Be creative and help your class win the SPIRIT AWARD! Dress code rules apply.
Homecoming Dance
The 2024 GCHS Homecoming Dance is almost here! Here’s everything you need to know:
**WHEN:** Saturday, September 14th, from 7:00 - 10:00 PM
**WHERE:** The mall/cafeteria area at Gordon Central
**MUSIC:** A DJ will be accepting song requests ahead of time. Stay tuned for more details, but start thinking about your favorite songs now!
**TICKETS:** $15 ahead of time, $20 at the door. Tickets are available here. Pick up your tickets during lunch on Friday, September 13th. Tickets will also be sold during lunch on Thursday (9/12) and Friday (9/13).
**THEME:** "Lights, Camera, Homecoming" with movie premiere-style decorations.
**REFRESHMENTS:** No charge! Enjoy beverages (tea and water) and a variety of finger foods.
**DRESS:** Semi-formal attire.
**PHOTOS:** There will be a selfie-style photo area and a new 360 camera to capture all the fun.
If you're bringing a guest who isn’t a GCHS student, they must be 21 years old or younger but no middle school students. Please pick up and return a guest form from Mr. Shattuck’s office by lunch on Friday, September 13th.

GCHS Reunion Classes
**Special Reunion Invitation**: The following classes have reached out about returning to their alma mater's homecoming in celebration of a milestone graduation year; therefore, we are extending a formal invitation to the classes of 1995 (30-year reunion), 1999 (25-year reunion), and 2014 (10-year reunion) to join us at the Homecoming game! Enjoy reserved bleacher seating, recognition between the 1st and 2nd quarters, and a dedicated tailgating space by the school.
