This is Mr. Larson's second year at Ashworth. Before coming to Ashworth, Mr. Larson served as the Academy Coordinator of the Gordon County College and Career Academy from 2016 to 2020. Prior to working with Gordon County Schools, he worked as an ELA teacher and coach in Clearwater, Florida for 4 years. He holds a B.A. in Secondary English Education and an M.A. in Educational Leadership. He is committed to the vision of Ashworth and Gordon County Schools and desires to see students who are prepared for high school and beyond.

This is Dr. Owen's sixteenth year in education, and during that time, she has held a variety of roles in two school districts. She began her teaching career at Ashworth in 2008 and taught here until 2019; during that tenure, she taught both 6th and 8th grade ELA and also coached numerous sports. Dr. Owen returns this year to Ashworth and Gordon County Schools after serving as an academic coach and 7th grade ELA teacher in Rome City Schools for four years. Dr. Owen believes that young adolescent learners are unique, and she strives to support communities of diverse learners who grow together daily.
