The Gordon County Chamber of Commerce, along with business, industry, and schools, has applied to become a Certified Work Ready community. This program allows Gordon County to demonstrate to potential employers its available workforce, as well as help those who looking for work demonstrate job skills to potential employers. Anyone who would like to participate in the program, while earning an incentive for taking the work-ready assessment should contact Betty Rochester at Georgia Northwestern Technical College at 706-295-6553.
