    MISSION and VISION

    Gordon County Schools will provide a relevant, rigorous, results-based education made possible through supportive, nurturing relationships.


    GOALS

     

    Goal 1  All Gordon County students will increase academic achievement in their Pre-K through 12th grade learning experience.  

    Measurements - 1) percentage of students (each school & system student group) that meet and exceed annual Ga. DOE targets in Reading, ELA, & Math; 2) progress in all academic content areas;  3) CRCT, GHSGT, EOCT, & other state tests; 4) system benchmark assessments in reading and math, 1-12

     

    Goal 2  Student attendance will improve to exceed the level of adequate yearly progress.  

    Measurements - as defined by the Ga. DOE accountability system: 1) AYP state test participation, 1-12, at or above 95%; 2) AYP second indicator, no more than 15% absentee rate for each for ES and MS school & entire system

     

    Goal 3  The percentage of Gordon County students who complete high school and enroll in college/ post-secondary program will increase.  

    Measurements - 1) graduation rate & completion rate, as defined by the Ga. DOE accountability system; 2) National Student Clearinghouse (Student Tracker) college / post-secondary enrollment measures

     

    Goal 4  The district will provide a standardized centralized and consistent level of technology, information services, and infrastructure that will enhance and support teaching and learning.   

    Measurement - data from annual survey of system employees

     

    Goal 5  Stakeholders' satisfaction with school environment will improve.  

    Measurement - SACS 5 year surveys; Title I ES & MS annual parent surveys; HS annual parent surveys
