Gordon County Schools is offering Office 2007 classes for Gordon County Schools employees. All classes are taught by Brandi Hayes at Sonoraville High School in the Computer Lab/Room 323. Classes start at 4:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM.

Note: Two 4 hour classes plus two homework sessions equals one (1) PLU.

Full - Introduction to Word 2007
The Introduction to Word 2007 class is designed to teach users how to create, edit, and enhance standard business documents.  The class will show participants how to work with the ribbon, the new feature that makes Word easier than ever before. Participants will learn how to work with the Ribbon, Create a Basic Document, Edit Documents, Format Text, Format Paragraphs. Add Tables to a Document, Add Graphics Elements to a Document, Control a Document's Page Setup and its Overall Appearance, and Proof Documents to make them more Accurate.

Advanced Word 2007
The Advanced Word 2007 class is designed for users who want to learn how to create or modify more complex business documents, as well as customized Word efficiency tools. Participants will learn how to Manage Lists, Create and Customize Tables and Charts, Customize Formatting with Styles and Themes, Modify Pictures in a Document, Create Customized Graphic Elements, Control Text Flow, Use Templates to Automate Document Creation, and Perform Mail Merges.

Full - Introduction to Excel 2007
The Introduction to Excel 2007 class is designed for users new to Excel who need to produce simple spreadsheets. Participants will learn how to Explore the Microsoft Excel 2007 Environment, Create a Basic Worksheet, Create Formulas to Perform Basic Calculations, Modify a Worksheet, Format the Look of a Spreadsheet, and Print Workbook Contents.

Full - Advanced Excel 2007
The Advanced Excel 2007 class is designed for users who want to enhance spreadsheets using templates, charts, graphics, and advanced formulas. Participants will learn how to Sort and Filter Data, Calculate with Advanced Formulas, Organize Worksheet and Table Data, Create and Modify Charts, Analyze Data, Work with Multiple Worksheets, Insert Graphic Objects, and Customize and Enhance Workbooks and the Excel environment.

Full - Introduction to PowerPoint 2007
The Introduction to PowerPoint 2007 class is designed for users who need to know how to use PowerPoint to create computer presentations. Participants will learn how to Create a Presentation, Format Text on Slides, Add Graphical Objects to a Presentation, Modify Objects on Slides, Add Tables to a Presentation, Add Charts to a Presentation, and Prepare to Deliver a Presentation.

Advanced PowerPoint 2007
The Advanced PowerPoint 2007 class is designed for users who want to enhance their current knowledge and skills in Microsoft PowerPoint. Participants will learn how to Customize the PowerPoint environment, Customize a Design Template, Add Diagrams to your Presentation, Add Special Effects to a PowerPoint Presentation, Add Animations, and Use the various Options to customize Slide Shows.

Full -  Outlook Features 2007
The Outlook Features 2007 class is designed for experienced Outlook users who need to customize their environment, calendar, and email messages to meet their specific requirements. Participants will learn how to Use folders to Organize Messages, Manage Contacts and Contact Information, Schedule Appointments, Schedule Meetings, Create and edit Tasks, Personalize Email, Work with the Calendar, Customize Message Options, Assign and Track Tasks, Customize the Outlook Environment, and Locate Outlook Items.
